Botanical coffee plant and tufted coquette humming bird

The general idea is a black and grey botanical coffee plant tattoo. I really like the organic look to the plant with some abstract style to it (incomplete outlines, interesting shading, lines that “go off the page”), and a perched tufted coquette hummingbird either incorporated into the coffee plant tattoo or as a separate entity elsewhere on my arm. Size and placement would be full length of my right forearm from wrist to elbow and anywhere around my forearm.

inspiration for tattoo:

What I am trying to capture here are two things. My 7 year long passion and now career that stemmed from random inspiration and curiosity. And the tufted coquette is from a time a spent on a nature reserve in Trinidad and discovered a level of peacefulness and serenity I never knew.

I am also open to unique design elements that go with what I’m trying to represent in this piece.

I am very open to working with you in finding a design that suits your creative interests and my inspiration for my tattoos. I am open to more having more elements incorporated into the piece, and am fine with omitting the hummingbird if you would prefer to stay on the more botanical with your work. I have some Scandinavian botanical flower ideas as well that I hope to get tattooed at some point. I would be coming from Colorado to NY if you chose my design. Will you be choosing clients in advance or closer to the 16th of May?

Hi Danilo, Thanks so much for response! This sounds amazing, and I am thrilled you chose my design! Regretfully, I won’t be able to take the time off work to make it down to NY this month any longer. I will be keeping my eyes out for any opportunity in the future to get an amazing tattoo from you. Again, I really appreciate the offer, and hope you are safe and well. Nevin

So unfortunate to hear, However, I still have available an appointment for Sunday. Would that be helpful? Or, you can let me know what date and time would be good for you, otherwise, I'll definitely keep you posted about my next visit.

I really appreciate the offer! Unfortunately, I live in Colorado, and I won’t have an opportunity to travel again until the winter. I was only able to get a few days off work to travel this summer, so I had to be decisive about what I wanted to do early on. No blame to you! I totally understand how busy you must be and how many tattoo clients you have to respond to. I will definitely be keeping an eye on your travel books for if you come back anywhere in the US in the future. Wishing you the best!

(!) I’m sorry, at the moment no images shared before the 31st of August can be displayed. A fix is coming soon, meanwhile, you can re-upload some of them, create a new note.
